Nick

Orthopaedic Certified Specialist (OCS) Physiotherapist
Doctor Of Physiotherapy

Nick has been lucky to be involved in baseball for over 30 years. Nick played t-ball and junior baseball before moving to America at the age of 17 for a baseball scholarship. Nick went on to play college Baseball winning All- American honours before then having a short stint in Professional Baseball with the Aces Independent league team. After Nick finished high school in America, Nick switched to primarily just pitching. Nick’s college coach was a former MLB pitcher for over 17 years and was a great resource on the many aspects of pitching. However, the knowledge gained through his experience playing and learning from several great coaches is just a fraction of what Nick uses now to help all players from all levels, not just the college and professional baseball players he sees. Baseball has changed dramatically in the past 5-10 years with the advancement of technology and understanding of biomechanics in baseball. We can better understand why some players throw hard and others don’t as well as why others possibly will get injured more often.

Nick is the also the managing director and senior Physiotherapist at Pontifex Physiotherapy. Nick completed his Doctorate in Physiotherapy in Florida, USA and several years later completed his Orthopaedic Certified Specialist (OCS) title. Nick has also completed the BradCliff Certified Breathing Practitioner level 3 course, the highest level available.  Nick also is a Physiotherapist for Baseball NSW High Performance as well as consulting with baseball clubs on player management throughout Sydney.   Nick is lucky to have an amazing wife in Yvette and two beautiful young girls in Kalea and Abigail.
